The Cybernetics Society is the UK national learned society and professional body promoting pure and applied cybernetics.
The Society is established for the purpose of promoting science, in particular the advancement and diffusion of a knowledge of cybernetics pure and applied, and especially promoting the efficiency and usefulness of members of the Society by setting up a high standard of professional education and knowledge.

The main objective of the research carried out within the KBM Centre is to
investigate how the success and effectiveness of knowledge management and
business process change approaches can be improved, using collaborative multi-disciplinary
approach. The Centre also aims at providing a forum for academics and practitioners
for promoting and disseminating best practice in knowledge and business process
management research and practice through workshops, projects, publications
and consultancy.
